Prompt #21: Future Growth

Here is Prompt #21 for Project: Love, Me
Welcome to our last week of iGrow!
As you look to the future, what plans do you have for self-improvement in the coming year? 5 years? What’s one thing you really want to learn? How are you going to accomplish that goal? What would you share with future generations about personal growth?

Not much to say about this week's page, it is fairly self explanatory, and I have to be awake in six hours for work (Yikes!) I have really enjoyed iGrow, it has been a real eye opener. Can't wait for next month, iCreate. Sounds like fun.

Prompt #20 - Stumbling Blocks

This week is Prompt #20 - Stumbling Blocks
Welcome to week 3 of exploring our theme, iGrow, where we take a look at the flip-side. Are you ready?
What are your biggest stumbling blocks to personal growth? Your vices? What things seem to always prevent you from moving forward? What’s that one trait or quality you keep seeking that keeps eluding you? What have you learned from these experiences?
This week was easy for me in the way of identifying what holds me back... but it wasn't easy putting it out there. My laziness is something I hide well, because instead of using time management for things like studying or cleaning, I do it right before it desperately needs to be done. The difficult part was that I didn't know how I was going to overcome my issue. And then... I saw this post from Suzy Q Scraps this morning, The 15-Minute Rule, and it fit perfectly! It is starting to really freak me out that these prompt's always seem to come at a time when I need them, and then this 15-minute Rule... the universe is speaking loudly!

Prompt #19 - Lessons Learned

This week was Prompt #19 - Lessons Learned
Welcome to week two in our iGrow series!!  Last week we discussed our journey of self-improvement — why we want to improve, what we’re working on improving, what activities we engage in for self-improvement. Let’s take a look at the past and reflect on our experiences. What experiences have taught you the most? What lessons have you learned? How has that helped you grow in your life?
This week I took a dive in the deep end, and found myself stuck. I wanted to create an inspiring page full of deep and meaningful thoughts... and I just kept blabbering on about things that, when I read over them, didn't make any more sense than a carnivorous cow. So I stopped, left it a couple of days and then went back to basics. I haven't had too many "experiences" that have taught me lessons, just lots of little things, lots of common sense and LOTS of movies and music... and Project: Love, Me! So this is my page about lessons I've learned and how I've learned them.

Prompt #18 iGrow

This weeks prompt was iGrow
With spring in the air and new life abounding, I find myself reflecting on my own personal growth. I think most of us strive to learn and grow and progress, becoming better today than we were yesterday, and better next year than we were last year. Let’s delve into personal growth. What does that look like in your life? What are you working to improve? Why are you on a journey of personal improvement?
I loved this weeks prompt, it came at a great time for me. I have been needing a push in all three areas I talk about on my page. It helped me think about these three things, and I am now more determined to grow!!

Prompt #18 iGrow

Thursday, April 28, 2011

This week was a Bonus Prompt, combining ideas from the previous topics:
Thomas Dreier said, “The life each of us lives is the life within the limits of our own thinking. To have life more abundant, we must think in limitless terms of abundance.” Or put another way by Norman Vincent Peale, “Change your thoughts and you change your world.” We all have thoughts, dreams, desires. If our thoughts become our reality, then how would you change your thoughts to become the reality you really want? If everything you wanted and dreamed about were possible, what would your life look like?
So my page is about my life in my dreams. My dream life is a life with no worries, no stress, it's all goooood. But my dream life isn't too far from a reality, it is something we will have to work very hard for, but it is all possible!

Prompt #15 Loss & Prompt #16 Before I Die...

Here are the topics for the last two weeks.
Prompt #15 Loss
This week, we’re looking at the flip-side of “Life”.  Losing the people we love is one of the hardest and most painful things we will ever endure during our lives.  There are so many ways to complete the challenge this week.  You can focus on a specific loved one who you’ve lost, focus on how you’ve dealt with loss in the past or take a more philosophical approach and discuss your personal belief system.  This can be anything you want and whatever is the most comfortable to you.
Prompt #16 Before I Die...
We each have a gift right now — life. What are you going to do with it? Make a bucket list of at least 10 things you want to do or accomplish before you die. Feel free to add more if you’d like (or less too). Anything goes with this — from the small to the big, from the seeming inconsequential to the totally life-changing.

This fortnight I did something different... I couldn't find the right words for Prompt #15 Loss, but I didn't want to skip that page, I felt like that would be an insult to my grandparents memory. So I did a page, but it wasn't finished. Then we came to Prompt #16 Before I Die... and I had an idea. Put the two together, so here is my page for #15 and #16:
Prompt #15 Loss #16 Before I die
It was funny after I was finished I was re-reading and I couldn't figure out why the title seemed like perfectly formed words... Then I remembered, one of my favourite books is called "While I Live..." so thanks John Marsden :P Your words fit perfectly.

Prompt #14 iLive Flashback

Hey, hey,
This week we are taking a look at our lives when we were kids. Here is Prompt #14:
Let’s take a peek back in time — what was life like when you were a kid? What games did you play? What did you learn in school? Where did you live? How much did you earn for an allowance or baby-sitting or doing other odd jobs? How much did stuff cost? What did you live for — what was most important to you back then?
Not much to say about this one, it is fairly self-explanatory. Hope you like it!
