Prompt #18 iGrow

This weeks prompt was iGrow
With spring in the air and new life abounding, I find myself reflecting on my own personal growth. I think most of us strive to learn and grow and progress, becoming better today than we were yesterday, and better next year than we were last year. Let’s delve into personal growth. What does that look like in your life? What are you working to improve? Why are you on a journey of personal improvement?
I loved this weeks prompt, it came at a great time for me. I have been needing a push in all three areas I talk about on my page. It helped me think about these three things, and I am now more determined to grow!!

This week was a Bonus Prompt, combining ideas from the previous topics:
Thomas Dreier said, “The life each of us lives is the life within the limits of our own thinking. To have life more abundant, we must think in limitless terms of abundance.” Or put another way by Norman Vincent Peale, “Change your thoughts and you change your world.” We all have thoughts, dreams, desires. If our thoughts become our reality, then how would you change your thoughts to become the reality you really want? If everything you wanted and dreamed about were possible, what would your life look like?
So my page is about my life in my dreams. My dream life is a life with no worries, no stress, it's all goooood. But my dream life isn't too far from a reality, it is something we will have to work very hard for, but it is all possible!

Prompt #15 Loss & Prompt #16 Before I Die...

Here are the topics for the last two weeks.
Prompt #15 Loss
This week, we’re looking at the flip-side of “Life”.  Losing the people we love is one of the hardest and most painful things we will ever endure during our lives.  There are so many ways to complete the challenge this week.  You can focus on a specific loved one who you’ve lost, focus on how you’ve dealt with loss in the past or take a more philosophical approach and discuss your personal belief system.  This can be anything you want and whatever is the most comfortable to you.
Prompt #16 Before I Die...
We each have a gift right now — life. What are you going to do with it? Make a bucket list of at least 10 things you want to do or accomplish before you die. Feel free to add more if you’d like (or less too). Anything goes with this — from the small to the big, from the seeming inconsequential to the totally life-changing.

This fortnight I did something different... I couldn't find the right words for Prompt #15 Loss, but I didn't want to skip that page, I felt like that would be an insult to my grandparents memory. So I did a page, but it wasn't finished. Then we came to Prompt #16 Before I Die... and I had an idea. Put the two together, so here is my page for #15 and #16:
Prompt #15 Loss #16 Before I die
It was funny after I was finished I was re-reading and I couldn't figure out why the title seemed like perfectly formed words... Then I remembered, one of my favourite books is called "While I Live..." so thanks John Marsden :P Your words fit perfectly.

Prompt #14 iLive Flashback

Hey, hey,
This week we are taking a look at our lives when we were kids. Here is Prompt #14:
Let’s take a peek back in time — what was life like when you were a kid? What games did you play? What did you learn in school? Where did you live? How much did you earn for an allowance or baby-sitting or doing other odd jobs? How much did stuff cost? What did you live for — what was most important to you back then?
Not much to say about this one, it is fairly self-explanatory. Hope you like it!

Prompt #13 - iLive

Hi hi,
This months theme is iLive. Here is Prompt #13:
This week, we’re going to take some time to look at how we live our lives- all the little things that make up our days.  What does a typical day look like for you right now? What do you do every day to remember to  to live for today?
This prompt, to start with, was easy for me. I knew exactly what my page was going to be about, my old life and my new life. But I couldn't figure out how to present it... Did I want to half my page and show the simple life vs the chaos, but that might get confusing as to which life I prefer. Should I do a word and photo collage about my lives. I had a few more ideas, but none of them felt right. I wanted to show how simple my life was, but also show that it wasn't a great life, not compared to my life now. It was a lazy life, a boring life, I'm not exactly proud of it. And I wanted to show that even though my life was so busy now, I love it so much more. So I decided to put the comparison timeline, and write a bit about both of my lives. Here it is:

Prompt #12: Words of Wisdom

So I hope we are all still laughing. This week's prompt brings iLaugh to a close with some words of wisdom:
Prompt #12: Words of Wisdom
It’s time to share some of your wisdom! What advice would you give to future generations about laughing? What has laughing brought to your own life that you’d like to pass on to others? How would you encourage them to laugh every day?
I spent a long time this week just thinking about what I could say. All I kept coming back to was Mary Poppins and "I Love To Laugh". So that's what I went with. I love laughing, so it was nice to encourage laughter in people's lives.
Next month is iLive, and I can't wait. The kit looks like it will be gorgeous!!

Prompt #11 - [Insert Sad Face]

This week over at Project: Love, Me we look at the flip side of laughter,
Here is Prompt #11:

Life isn’t always sunshine and happiness.  In the words of  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow,  “Into each life some rain must fall”.  Sometimes we are sad, angry, maybe even a little depressed.  Even though this might not be the face we show the world, these feelings are still a big part of who we are.   Let’s delve into the “flip side” of laughter … share a story of a time when you were down or upset.  How do you deal with these feelings?  Do they inspire change in your life?  Do you hide them from others or look to others to help you through them?
This week's prompt came at the most perfect time for me. It helped me explore my current dilemma of needing to choose between my passion for teaching and the want to be home with my daughter. If the prompt hadn't come up this week, I probably would still be bottling this up and going out of my mind.
Here is my layout for this week.
